* Chi Nei Tsang is an ancient Chinese abdominal and organ chi massage using applied gentle pressure to the belly and around the navel. This work addresses all vital systems as well as helping to unblock “undigested” emotions. It is particularly good for digestive disturbances, nervous tension and fertility issues and a general sense of relaxation and well-being. ** Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle manual manipulation of the energy and unique pulse that flows through the skull, the spinal column and the pelvis. It is particularly good for mental stress, headaches and TMJ disorders.

"As each person is unique, and every day is different, our sessions begin with a verbal check-in to assess your needs and to determine the course of your treatment. My massage therapy sessions can be divided into 3 categories: 1) Sports/therapeutic massage where we work vigorously to unwind tension and break up muscle tissue that is locked or tight due to injury, trauma and/or misalignment, whether chronic or acute. 2) Chi Nei Tsang, an ancient Chinese healing chi organ/abdominal massage, where we do a 45 minute session on the abdomen addressing "undigested emotions" and all the vital systems in the body. It is especially good for digestive disturbances and can help with fertility issues, as it can relax the organs. This is a place where tension can hide so this treatment can be very soothing and deeply relaxing. 3) Energy work, whereby we use the gentler varieties of bodywork such as Craniosacral therapy, reflexology and chakra touch to address imbalances that are more energetic or emotional in nature. Often during a session emotional and/or psychological issues will arise as they are connected to the body. I provide a safe space and compassionately explore these issues with my client inasmuch as they are desirous and willing to do so. A session with me frequently includes elements of all the aforementioned styles as we are complex and multidimensional beings and often need more than one specific thing. I take great pleasure in helping you figure out how I can best serve your healing process." |
